New E20L electric forklift model
Linde customers will be able to choose from an even larger range of electric counterweight forklift trucks from the start of December 2007.
The new E12 to E20 series now includes a three-wheel forklift truck with a lifting capacity of 2 tonnes. This brings the total number of models in the series to 16. According to Linde Material Handling (MH), the large number of model variations enables operators to select the most efficient vehicle for the job according to the lifting capacity needed (1.2 to 2.0 tonnes), performance requirements, prevailing ground conditions (three/four-wheel version) and height of the driver's seat (low/high version). For instance, the E20 L model (L= long or flat) is a vehicle with a long, flat design and a high battery capacity (690 Ah). The three-wheel truck is ideal for indoor use, as its low access height makes it easier for drivers to get in and out of the vehicle to perform order picking. The E20 L brings a lifting capacity of 2 tonnes to the four-wheeled truck series: the E20 PH (P= four-wheeler with combination axle, H= high) with a 700 Ah battery, the E20 PL (P= four-wheeler, L= long) with a 690 Ah battery, and the E20 PHL with an 840 Ah battery.
The latest model also incorporates all the benefits of the current electric forklift series. According to Linde MH, these include a comfortable and safe working environment for the driver and the best conditions for efficient use. From a technological perspective, this is achieved through a maintenance-free, enclosed drive axle that incorporates all the major components (such as power elements, drive motors and lift motors), an energy management system with precise battery discharge indicator, an integrated battery charger and a total of five options for fast battery changing. Linde now offers users the opportunity to save up to 25 percent on their energy costs compared with other forklift trucks in the same category.
